Christchurch tour

On the 24th we went into Christchurch to tour around looking at scolptures one of the scolptures had a cone on its head then we went looking for graffiti art we saw this big thing with plates so me and EB climbed it it was pretty slippery we saw a hittler sign it was so funny then we climbed down and went to the wight chairs so people that died in the earthquake there chairs were there. There were some really cool chairs there. Then we went to the art gallery there was this to playing this seal. Breathing it got really annoying after that it was the flight museum there was a flight simulator and it was funny because we were at this dance thing and I couldn't grab the wine glass. Then we went to the pawa house there were some curtains in the corner and I was going to hide in the corner but then it took to long so I got out and Katie went in there and EB came along and Katie popped out and gave EB a huge fright.

Omaka camp

Last week we had camp and we went to a camp called Omaka camp the camp had a flying fox and a river there were heaps of eels I saw up to 10 eels there were some tiny eels we named one of the baby's bubba and he or she was pretty tame. The bigger eels were the most tame because they have been around people longer and there really cool because they slide through your hands and it feels really weird but cool at they same time the smaller eels aren't as tame because they haven't been around people as long. We tried to patt them but then they tried to bite so we decided to not patt them so we just started patting the big ones. The camp also had a big feild that we could play games on we played American football with Lachlans ball it was really fun EB tackeled me twice and the second one kinda hurt but I got over it it was fun when Aron and Brendan played with us Aron keeped takeling me.

today the year 8s went to william pike so we did project seven i was in the groop that was taking the dead flax and was taking it down to the nativ garden, we wer cleaning up the flax bushes. When Harry was cleang out the guter he found an old tenes ball, and then later on i found bevans rugby ball it was really anoying because there was flax on the ground that was still attached to the bushes witch made us trip up it was so frustrating.

Clubs

Clubs by Ethan On Friday afternoon we did clubs. Everyone went to a club and me and Tekira choose coding for our club. We had to do scratch Jr we got to pick our groups but it had to have one team east we had to have one team south one team north and a team west. We all got an iPad with scratch Jr on it and made a scene on scratch Jr I made a Rocket scene and Tekira made a basketball scene. after that we had a discussion on the mat about what we think about it and next week we will be taking out the Lego robots I think we'll be building the robot but all the electronics are put together or we're learning how to make one. There are a whole lot more clubs like dance, band,iPad art,green team,scrap booking,woodwork and lots more. In my groop it was me Hamish and Dylan p I made a bike do a double back flip I had so many backwards peaces. The weird thing is though it takes like half an hour to make a scene and then when you play it it's only like five seconds. hamish made a car crash into a wall and Dylan made bats in a cave attack people I had to help him a little bit, but he did most of it himself.

Cross country

Cross country


   On Wednesday the 18th we did cross country. I went there on the bus with Archie and TeKira. When we got there we lined up and walked down the hill. We got into our year groups. The year ones started and then the year twos started. I was getting nervous, in my race it was me, Alex, Archie and Harry we picked the order we think we'll come. The order was me 1st Harry 2nd Archie 3rd and Alex last and we were right.

In the forest I noticed that no one was behind me and I just needed to do one more lap.
I found cross country not to hard but the hardest part was the forest I nearly fell over.

Today I am going to TriSchools. I am really nervous about it because I have never run a 3 km cross country race before. It rained last night which means it might be slippery so I need to take it easy running up and down the hills.

Mt richardson

Mt Richardson

On Friday the 13th we walked up Mt Richardson, I went on the bus with Dan. When we got there we got numbered. I walked up the mountain with Dan, Archie and Jack. When we got close to the top there was an awesome view, the trees were in a v shape and you could see everything. When we were at the top it was so windy we found a little spot and made a hut with Noah, Rhys and Harrison. We had lunch in the hut, it was really fun.
On the way down I walked with Noah and Harrison. Harrison's mum gave us lollie worms, speaking of worms we saw a giant earth worm. I enjoyed it because it was fun walking with my friends and getting treats. When we finished my legs were really sore and I was tired.

My mum's new dji phantom3 drone

My mum is a photographer and she saw a YouTube video of a drone which inspired her to get one and now she has a dji phantom 3 standard which has a self balancing camera called gimble. It comes with 6 stickers and the remote has a phone stand and there's a simulator to practice flying with. There's also auto pilot if you go to a certain height and let go of the throttle it will hover at that height.

Length

Last term I worked with Masiah and Tekira to create an explain everything on Length. I am sharing it on my blog so others can use it to learn.

This week I am becoming an expert in length.This picollage shows my estimations of length and the actual measurement.I used a metre ruler.our estamets were close beacause we used our height to make a bench mark. I'm 100 and 40cm.

Project 7

In project 7 I'm in compost group we have cut a path way through the bush because before we had to walk all the way around. Now we can just walk through the bush. I'm with phoebe and Kate s. Phoebe has cut up the bush in front of the hungry heap.and Kate s has been taking rappers out of the compost. We are going to re paint the palett because the paint is peeling off. Every day we need to water and mix the compost. Then we put the compost in the garden.
